This one-day conference will focus on questions related to oral history
and gender, the current status of the field, and perspectives on the
future. Themes that will be addressed include the role of gender in the
composure of subjective identities; the gendered inter-subjectivities of
the narrator and listener; the influence of sexuality, class and
ethnicity on the formation of subjectivities; and inter- and
